Knebworth House Car Show August 2026

Mini at Knebworth House Car show
Knebworth House Car Show

Knebworth is probably better known for the massive concerts they’ve had over the years — Queen, Oasis, Robbie Williams and many more — but today it was all about the cars!

We ventured out solo to Knebworth, mainly because we hadn't put our name down for the event the car club, we belong to was off to today. So, with the sun shining and, thankfully, not a drop of the rain that had been forecast!  off we went on the just-over-an-hour journey, squeezing in a quick breakfast stop on the way as
after all, a car show requires fuel for the humans as well as the cars!

Driving up through the grounds and getting our first look at Knebworth House was pretty impressive; the place is huge! Following the other cars it wasn't long before we were being directed by the efficient marshals to the area to park the car up and being pleasantly pleased with how much space there was between the cars once we were parked. No squeezing in like sardines!

It wasn't long before we realised that our £4 pre-booked ticket to display the car was an absolute bargain as it included entry to the grounds and gardens. We had to pay another £6 each to go into the house and it was definitely worth it. We ended up spending around four hours wandering around the grounds and house, and the house was amazing. The staff were so friendly and really knew their stuff too. But after four hours our feet were saying enough, so we grabbed a lovely coffee and sat in the courtyard for a bit, enjoying the sunshine.

Wandering back to the car show, we couldn’t believe how many cars there were now! I actually really liked that all the different marques were mixed together rather than being split into separate sections. It made walking around and seeing what was coming up next much more interesting. Also there was plenty going on in the arena too, plus live music — which is always a winner for me!

All in all, a lovely day out. Great cars, sunshine, live music, beautiful grounds, a stunning house and, best of all…
NO RAIN!
